As the Senior Network & System Administrator, you'll help to deputise the IT team, working closely with the IT Infrastructure Manager to manage everything Network & System related.


This business will give you the opportunity for continuous progression and will fund IT related qualifications and certifications to aid your development.


Newark, Nottinghamshire

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Windows Desktop & Server support
  • Designing, implementing, and supporting LAN/WAN networks
  • Working within strict SLA's
  • Maintaining, updating, and securing systems and databases
  • Identify and manage any escalated faults
  • Liaise with third party suppliers for major incidents or network improvements
  • Monitor data traffic and ensure highquality transmission
  • Helping to manage the existing IT team, sharing your knowledge and expertise

About you

  • 3 years in a similar role
  • Advance knowledge of IOS, VLAN, STP, BGP, OSPF routing and switches technologies
  • Knowledge of O35, M365 and Azure
  • Experience implementing fibre networking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A cando attitude and the ability to your initiative to continuously improve system functions
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
  • PowerShell scripting or similar
  • Knowledge of Linux
