LCP Delta provides a range of services and solutions to stakeholders, including energy industry participants and policy makers, to better deliver the energy transition.


This is an exciting new position for the right person to support us in the development and delivery of our tech-based solutions.

We support clients understand energy market trends and provide valuable insights to inform decision making.

We have a suite of tech-based products either in use or under development, including: detailed agent-based dispatch modelling, in-house optimisation algorithms and real time trading analytics using machine-learning based forecasting.

A key focus of our strategy is to leverage our optimisation skillset to enhance our modelling capabilities and develop into new areas.


What will you be doing?


This role will involve developing cutting-edge enhancements to our optimisation models; including developing capability for our new web-based optimisation tools.

Working with a range of tools, from bespoke network simplex algorithms to open-source mixed-integer solvers, you will play a critical role in developing exciting new projects from the ground up.

In addition, given the accelerated advancements of new AI techniques, it is vital as a leading tech-based business that we stay on top of the latest developments.

In an ever-changing market, the scope for future work is open to many possibilities and you will have the opportunity to identify and lead the development of solutions

This is an exciting role for an experienced analyst to join our fast-growing team and to play a key role in our growth.

You will be joining an expert energy modelling and tech & data team that is well respected by industry, regulators and policy makers alike.


Key responsibilities:


  • Be part of the team that develops our next suite of optimisation frameworks.
  • Work with our clients to shape future work and grow business aims. Identifying problems and providing solutions in a timely manner.
  • To help explore new ways to exploit our existing optimisation capabilities.
  • To keep up to date with the developments and changes in the energy markets, to shape how our modelling frameworks changes with this.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Any objectoriented programming experience (Python, C#, Java, etc)
  • Working experience with optimisation
  • Commercial background in the energy industry
  • Confident working with large datasets
  • Comfortable explaining technical concepts in nontechnical language, both internally and to our clients
It is desirable that the job holder be educated to degree level with a numerical background.

The job holder should be able to demonstrate clear and logical thinking processes and have the ability to clearly communicate examples of work.
