We are delighted to offer 5 (five) Band 5 positions for our exciting Trailblazer Team (Mental Health Support Team).

This team works hand in hand with schools to provide work to enhance wellbeing and resilience, mental health education and training.

We are looking for people trained as Children and Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP) to join the team (3 posts) and as Emotional Well-Being Practitioner (2post)


The new CWP/ EMHP Practitioner role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational and healthcare settings.

The role is to be part of Trailblazer in Haringey Schools. (MHTS)


The post holder will be part of a Mental Health Support Team under supervision / leadership of a Senior Practitioner to deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems within the school setting.


The work in each school will be supported by a Senior Practitioner along with a CWP/ EMHP who already have an established relationship with the school.

The post holder will be able to gain experience and training within the wider CAMHS service, and will be expected to play an active part in quality improvement and service development projects

  • Planning and organising activities
Recording of data in an accurate and timely way.
Communicating sometimes complex difficulties to non professionals
Attending the appropriate meetings.
Reporting concerns to the appropriate individuals
Information Management
Work within the policies governing the use of patient information.

  • Responsible use of Trust IT equipment
To record notes accurately on the Rio EPR Service Development
Contribution to service development projects
Attend meeting that address service issues.

Effort, Mental and Environment
Travelling to schools and the main base throughout the day.
Carrying a laptop to various work places
Concentrating during sometimes quite long meetings and being able to contribute.
Sometimes dealing with distressed young people or their parents.
Having difficult conversations with clients and other professionals
Finding a space and time to see people within busy school days.
