Job summary:

Do you want to make your mark on programmes delivering digital connectivity which will last for decades, and be part of an organisation where you can proudly be yourself?

Working with teams across BDUK, as Head of Assurance and Risk you'll play a leading role in making sure we remain a resilient organisation - delivering our programmes and making effective use of public money.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of major government programmes delivering a once in a generation step change in connectivity across the UK.

The excitement is in the challenge.

As part of the continuing maturity of BDUK's assurance and risk function we are seeking a passionate leader to run our risk manager approach and 'second line' assurance.

You will lead, develop and implement a risk-based Assurance Strategy which supports BDUK's delivery, as well as meeting all legal, regulatory and propriety requirements.

As the owner of the risk management approach you will have a unique opportunity to understand the risks faced across BDUK and work with senior stakeholders to consider where risk can be tolerated or where controls need to be improved.

As a member of BDUK you will gain experience of government delivery and you will also have the opportunity to work with a number of internal and external stakeholders and will gain a unique range of career development, skills and learning opportunities in a government-led and funded commercial delivery programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to help us deliver and make BDUK a great place to work.
