Role Summary:
Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7, including some weekends.
The role of the Facilities Supervisor is to oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, operation, and safety of the facilities at Deansgate Square.
They will play a crucial role in ensuring that the facilities are well-maintained, functional, and safe for employees, visitors, and stakeholders alike.
The shift pattern will include some weekend and some evening shifts.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to maintain a secure and hazardfree environment
- Coordinate and oversee routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues and address them promptly
- Liaise with external contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks
- Work with Estate Management to ensure the development is emergency ready including fire safety, evacuation plans, and disaster recovery
- Conduct on site testing and records, reporting to the Estate Manager on any outstanding actions
- With a handson approach supervise and lead the facilities team
- Coordinate all cleaning requirements in line with the Building Schedules which typically include jet washing, guttering and maintenance of bin store rooms, litter picking and sweeping hard standing areas of grounds around the estate, as well as any unplanned cleaning emergencies
- Liaise with the refuse operative in line with weekly collections and ensure this is maintained in their absence
- Oversee and develop the management of inventory for maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Identify and report damaged or broken fixtures and fittings around the site, including the changing of bulbs, doors, lamps, soft furnishings
Personal Qualities and Experience:
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance processes and safety
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer software for facilities management to monitor maintenance and schedule work
- Problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing issues
- Ability to prioritise tasks and workload, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of sustainable and energyefficient facility management practices is a plus
- Ability to work independently, use own initiative, as well as work successfully as part of a team
- Proactive approach to maintaining standards and service delivery
