Futures Recruitment Services are supporting their local client for a Buyer position.

Full time position paying up to £40,000 per annum with 10% annual bonus

  • Execute on the daily operational Materials Planning processes in a timely manner: review and act upon ERP messages (expedite, deexpedite and cancel), review stock levels, and create purchase requisitions/calloff schedules to ensure suppliers have clearvisibility of demand. Ensure that changes to demand (up or down) are promptly communicated to suppliers, to enable Parker production plans to be set accordingly and appropriate communication with customers
  • Ensure replenishment systems, e.g. Kanban, are appropriate and in line with demand profiles such that 'stockouts' are truly exceptional and inventory is effectively managed

  • Work to optimise inventory levels, without adversely impacting customer LISC
  • Identify potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigate associated risks
  • Liaise with Engineering and Project teams on all projects to fully understand time scale requirements to ensure suppliers meet these expectations. Facilitate the efficient introduction of new parts and Engineering Changes, whilst ensuring excess and/orobsolete inventory implications are clearly communicated to key stakeholders
