Purchase Ledger Assistant | Lincolnshire | up to £26,500
Are you detail-oriented, organised, and eager to contribute to a close knit finance team? We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join a well established company as a
Purchase Ledger Assistant.
As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring the smooth operation of our purchase ledger.
Responsibilities:
Process and record
supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Match
purchase orders with invoices and
reconcile any discrepancies.
Prepare
payment runs and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
Maintain
supplier accounts and resolve any queries or issues.
Reconcile
supplier statements and follow up on any outstanding items.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
***Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a
finance or accounting environment.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
Good understanding of
purchase ledger processes and principles.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills
