Purchasing Manager

£40-45,000 plus Bonus and Benefits

An excellent opportunity to join a growing business to oversee the purchase of their products, services and equipment. The role will be to implement a purchasing strategy and manage a small team.

The role:

Identifying any products, services and equipment to be purchased, including researching new products and suppliers
Negotiating deals, contracts and SLA's with suppliers and maintaining existing relationships
Verifying the key suppliers for each procurement
Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identify costs
Overseeing daily activities of the purchasing department, including delegating tasks and supervising a small team
Establishing quality control and ensuring that bought stock meets company standards
Preparing and managing procurement budget and preparing cost estimates
Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts where necessary
Administration, including raising and issuing purchase orders for stock and back ordered goods
Updating colleagues about any delays or problems with suppliers
Collating cost savings analyses to the department
