This is a new role which has been created to respond to the current and emerging culture and staff experience priorities in the Trust.

We have a comprehensive Staff Experience Improvement Programme underway and this role will play a key role in its successful delivery.


The Culture and Staff Experience Project Support Officer is a fixed-term post for 12 months and will provide comprehensive support to the Culture & Staff Experience Project Coordinator and wider Leadership & OD team.


This exciting opportunity will enable the postholder to get close up experience of how we deliver staff experience related projects to the Trust and gain knowledge on culture & staff experience within the organisation.

As post holder, you will provide a competent, effective and efficient standard of administrative and project support to a number of core projects and programmes including:

  • Staff Experience Improvement Programme
  • Reward and recognition
  • NHS Staff Survey


You will play a key role in communicating effectively with a range of people on a variety of project matters covering the whole organisation and with people at Board level.

You will maintain a library of project files and outputs including strict version control, using protocols for change control of documentation.


You will also coordinate progress reporting, arrange meetings and act as the first point of contact for a wide range of enquiries from end users.

This role would suit someone with the following attributes, skills and experience:

  • Experience of creating and updating spreadsheets and databases
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Motivated and innovative, with experience of taking the lead on service improvement and new ways of working/delivering targets
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a good command and understanding of English punctuation and grammar
  • Ability to use own judgement, take initiative, and multitask
  • Ability to concentrate where work pattern is unpredictable and there are frequent interruptions
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/diary management
  • Ability to communicate information even in evolving projects when messages may change
  • Flexible, openminded and proactive approach
  • Strong focus on providing a highquality and personable customer experience
  • Strong empathy and sensitivity to the needs and lived experiences of individuals/groups
  • Can work effectively both autonomously under own initiative, and as part of a team

The LOD team provides and coordinates a wide range of leadership development programmes, staff experience and engagement activities, coaching and mentoring, OD interventions and team support to colleagues working across both Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS).

Dimensions

  • Provide a competent and effective standard of administrative support to ensure the smooth running of programmes and projects
  • Communicate effectively with a range of people on a variety of project matters across multiple organisations and with people at Board Level

  • Coordinate the progress reporting and the management and arrangement of meetings for culture and staff experience projects and programmes
  • Ensure effective communication between project teams and partner organisations, acting as the first point of contact for enquiries from end users
  • Provide a competent and effective standard of administrative support to the Culture & Staff Experience Project Coordinator and project leads at management level to ensure the smooth running of programmes and projects
Key Result Areas

  • Assist the Culture & Staff Experience Project Coordinator with the development, preparation and administration of project plans and associated tasks
  • To update plans and project documentation as required and/or directed by the Project Coordinator
  • Assist in the updates and maintenance of the project issue and risk logs
  • To represent the project
