Senior Business Intelligence Developer
We are looking for an enthusiastic, data professional to join us to shape the future of Business Intelligence at Benenden.

You will use your previous Azure BI experience to create new analytical datasets, allowing the business to make key decisions to support future sustainability.
This is a hybrid working role, with the expectation of coming to the York office to meet with the team and key stakeholders on a weekly basis.

The post holder will:
- Integrate new data sources into the data warehouse, providing the business with new analytical capabilities
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, governance and advice to project teams and developers
- Gather, understand and interpret business requirements into useful outputs
- Influence and advise stakeholders, providing recommendations
- Develop ETL processes using Kimball methodology to translate data into businessfriendly terms and populate the Data Warehouse
- Design data models and theoretical data structures to satisfy reporting requirements
- Develop simple to understand reporting objects that can be understood and utilised by nontechnical power users across the business
- Build data visualisations & reporting using tools such as Microsoft Power BI to create valuable, interactive BI
- Ensure business users have the information and context to fully understand data, enabling critical decision making that supports delivery of the business plan
Skills and experience required:
- Relevant experience in a BI Role
- Strong SQL skills
- Hands on experience with ETL tools
- Extensive Power BI or other BI Visualisation Experience
- Proven experience of Synapse analytics or other analytical tools
- Ability to interpret requirements from various stakeholders and offer practical solutions
- Ability to communicate with all areas of the business
