Description

We are looking for hard working and pro active Health Care Assistants to join our team working in Theatres at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.

We have 11 Operating Theatres covering a wide range of specialities including Orthopaedics/ Colorectal/ Upper GI/ Urology/ ENT/ Ophthalmic/ Breast/ Gynae and Obstetrics.

As a HCA working within Theatres, you will support the team during operating procedures as well as playing a crucial role in the efficient turn around of Theatres to maximise utilisation.

To work with supervision and guidance in providing and maintaining a high standard of patient care for those patients undergoing surgery.

The post holder will be expected to undertake Peri-operative circulating duties as the need arises and work as part of a multi-professional team.

The post holder will also be required to receive patients into the department, escort them to the anaesthetic room/theatre, providing comfort and support whilst maintaining respect, privacy and dignity and confidentiality.
