ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Own, manage, evolve, and develop the endtoend bid process in line with industry best practices.
  • Gain insights and intel into competitor bid processes through RFI outputs across various markets.
  • Educate Study Group peers on effective bid strategies.
  • Manage virtual bid teams and key stakeholders, including sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal, and project management/delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with the Sales lead to develop a clear win strategy for each bid, ensuring compelling win themes and differentiators
  • Resolve complex technical, strategic, and business issues arising during the bid process.
  • Oversee and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services/products are included in the final price.
  • Track and manage risks throughout the bid process.
  • Lead on the written proposal in terms of content and presentation, including the executive summary.
  • Set and achieve key KPIs such as average response time and win rate.
  • Manage the bid budget and monitor overall performance against KPIs.
  • Ensure timescale compliance at each step of the bid process, setting realistic deadlines, and achieving internal governance.
  • Ensure compliance with bid processes across the bid and commercial teams, providing coaching where necessary.
  • Ensure ontime submission of compliant and commercially sound bids.
  • Coordinate, support and plan client presentations as part of the bid submission.
  • Drive continuous improvement through postbid reviews, both internally and with customers.
  • Build and scale the Study Group Bid function
  • Support the development of business development proposals and collateral when not actively working on bids.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Shipley Bid certification desirable but not mandatory
  • Minimum of 810 years of experience in bid management or a related field, with a proven track record of bid success and wins.
  • Demonstrable project management skills with an ability to manage multiple bids concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in identifying and articulating win themes and differentiators.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to maintain a comprehensive bid library.
  • Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and executive management.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and any relevant bid management software.
