Best Western Ship Hotel, Weybridge is a 76 bedroom hotel located in the centre of Weybridge. We are looking for a painter & decorator/handyman/woman to join our maintenance team.

Days of work :
Monday - Friday

Job Type / Category

Duties:

Prepares surfaces by scraping; using commercial paint removers; filling cracks and holes; sizing plaster walls.

Maintains safe work procedures by erecting scaffolds, ladders and safety barriers according to the prescribed protocols.

Protects equipment, furniture and floors by placing drop cloths.

Completes work requested by performing interior and exterior painting, decorating work, finishing and wallpaper installation according to requirements.

Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs.

Enhances facilities and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Plus additional maintenance work including changing of light bulbs, fixing issues with taps, etc

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Decision making, initiative, basic safety, equipment maintenance, thoroughness, independence, results driven, estimating, verbal communication, customer service.

Must be someone with experience of painting and decoration with a flexible attitude and willingness. A knowledge of health & safety and/or hotels would be an advantage although not necessary

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Pay:
£11.50-£11.51 per hour
