Doctoral College Senior Administrative Officer


The Doctoral College is key to the University's aims of supporting and developing the next generation of academic, industrial and societal leaders and we are excited to offer a position supporting our Post Graduate Research Students in Arts and Humanities.


You'll work with a dedicated team to deliver all aspects of the PGR student lifecycle from admissions and recruitment, through progression to award and graduation.

You will become an expert in all aspects of Post Graduate Research at the University as well as nationally and internationally.

Throughout this you will have the opportunity to work with professional service teams across the University and gain a broad understanding of how the University operates.


This role will work in close collaboration with the Doctoral College team Leader and team to facilitate the efficient and effective day to day operations of the Doctoral College team in Arts and Humanities.

You will have a high level of organisational skill and the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines and be comfortable with managing change.

Additionally, you will be positive and proactive about supporting staff to work collegiately.


You will be an excellent team player with experience and a proven ability to work proactively as well as being organised and adaptable, taking a positive approach in reviewing processes and practices.

Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential for this role in order to deliver outstanding customer service. You must also be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
