Uk Sales Controller - London, United Kingdom - yfood Labs GmbH

YOUR MISSION
- We are looking for an experienced Sales professional to lead our Sales function, to work closely with our UK Country Manager and take on the responsibility of both developing new business and driving sales growth across our existing portfolio of UK retail customers. These include, Tesco, Coop, Holland & Barrett, WHSmiths Travel, Superdrug, Spar, Nisa, Costcutter and Musgraves Ireland.
- Alongside the Country Manager, you will be responsible for our sales strategy, building strong partnerships with our customers, seeking new business opportunities and building a team beneath you as the business grows. Working with both the UK and German team you will have the opportunity to build your career within this unique food tech startup, which aims to improve the population's nutritional health, whilst adhering to it's B Corp pillars.
- Full P&L responsibility of your channels and customers.
- Responsible for managing and building the future UK sales team
- Responsible for setting and implementing channel strategy and targets
- Identify growth and new business opportunities in the UK retail landscape to maximise distribution of products, with a focus on food/grocery
- Drive optimal trading margin through detailed analysis of category performance
- Responsible for strategic relationship management of UK retail partners
- Lead in commercial proposals and negotiation
- Act as an interface between our retail partners and relevant yfood HQ department on UK Retail topics
- Manage effective communication of Brand plans to Retail partners and wholesalers
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- You are based in the UK (within M25 London is ideal) as it is a Hybrid role, with occasional travel to our head office in Munich
- You possess at least 5+ years of UK retail experience, with a focus on food and grocery
- You have a track record of winning new Retail accounts like Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose and developing existing partnerships by driving deeper distribution and range extensions.
- You possess excellent leadership skills and have experience in managing people.
- You have strong commercial acumen and can prepare solid business proposals
- You have excellent negotiation and communication skills
- You have strong analytical and conceptual skills and a high affinity for numbers
- You are ambitious and targetoriented, have big picture thinking and a great problemsolver
