Senior Estimator £44,000-£46,000 based on experience

Since 2004 C&S Group have been providing high quality construction and building services to private and public sector clients throughout the UK from their base in Blantyre, Scotland.

This is a well established business, with an excellent reputation.

The organisation has an extensive client base including care homes, commercial properties, social housing and a number of blue chip organisations.

The main focus is internal refurbishments which are managed internally, with external works done through sub-contractors.

A new opportunity has become available for a Senior Estimator to join the team.

About the Role

Preparing detailed estimates for approval of Building Services Director
Sending enquiries to material suppliers and subcontractors
Submitting tenders
Take offs from drawings and building net rates from 1stprinciples
Ability to deal with competing deadlines and handle multiple work streams
Dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.
Track and monitor all bids and prepare monthly feedback
Dealing with Architects, Building surveyors & Surveying
Attending site visit/inspections

About you

A positive track record in construction estimating
Strong attention to detail
Good negotiating skills
Highly commercial
Excellent interpersonal communication skills including written and spoken English.
Be a strong problem solver and use initiative when working at pace
Adaptable, able to see things from other points of view and open to new ways of working.
Ability to bring new processes and ideas

Ideally you will have a related degree or professional qualification, be experienced managing teams and have at minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.

You will also mentor and support the assistant estimator
