THE ROLE:


The Student Engagement Officer (Welfare & Engagement) will support and monitor the engagement of students in the Faculty of Science and Health, contacting students who are potentially at risk of non-progression or non-continuation.

The post holder will work in close collaboration with academic schools and professional services to set up measures to help students re-engage and succeed.


The Student Engagement Officer will provide pastoral support to students and onward referral, where necessary, to ensure the students receive personalised and targeted interventions to meet engagement and welfare needs.


The post holder will be responsible for and undertake projects to enhance progression rates and ensure more equitable degree outcomes in the Faculty; this will include advising on areas such as induction content and equality, diversity and inclusion issues within the curriculum.
