Job Introduction

The starting salary for this role is £26,080 per annum based on a 36-hour working week. This is a 12 month fixed term contract from April 2023 to March 2024.


This is a hybrid role which means your time will be flexibly split between working from home and in the office to collaborate with your team.


We are looking for a full-time
Senior Administrator to work in this varied and interesting role within our Educational Psychology Service.


Surrey's Educational Psychology Service sits within the Children, Families and Learning Directorate and deliver a range of highly specialist services directly to vulnerable children and young people.


In your role as a
Senior Team Administrator you will support the Educational Psychology teams to deliver a range of activities that make a genuine difference to some of Surrey's most vulnerable children and young people.

This is a really varied role which will see you supporting individual work in schools (e.g., processing psychological reports), ensuring the smooth running of group interventions (e.g., Emotional Literacy Support Assistant training and supervision) and systemic change (e.g., training and conferences).


Organising appointments and training courses, keeping track of information, resources and materials, and taking meeting notes will all be part of a day's work.

Making sure timescales are met will be key Therefore, we are looking for someone who is highly organised, able to take responsibility and use initiative, as well as comfortable setting their own priorities to meet deadlines.

Ultimately, your role will be to make sure that everything is in place to guarantee the smooth running of both the processes and teams you support.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a solid background in administration in a busy environment
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Is confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to work, managing workflows to deadlines
  • Has excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Has experience of working with confidential information
  • Has a knowledge or interest in psychology and supporting vulnerable learners

A Basic DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) will be required for this role.
