This post is for a fully accredited Ophthalmologist Consultant with recognised training in glaucoma. There will be a 10% financial incentive plus relocation expenses included.**The department is fully electronic with Medisoft EPR and Zeiss Forum as the platform for all imaging including Zeiss OCT and Optos. Lasers include a combined YAG/SLT. Both operating theatres have ceiling mounted Zeiss microscopes. The latest surgical techniques are performed including iStent and Micropulse laser. There are opportunities to further develop further MIGS techniques. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical leadership in managing and developing services for treatment of glaucoma, including the Virtual Glaucoma Clinic. A Shared Care Glaucoma Scheme with local optometrists has been running for over 12 years and cares for more than 4000 patients.
