Management Accountant (Qualified) - Wigan


My client is a Wigan based company established in 2001 is recruiting a Qualified Management Accountant due to the retirement if its current employee.


The position, reporting directly to the Managing Director, would be to manage a small finance team and the financial affairs of the two companies within the group.

The company is financially strong and has combined Turnover of circa £5.5M and there are approximately50 employees.

The role is Wigan based and is also office based.

A brief Job description is as follows:

  • Quarterly management accounts, profit & loss analysis, previous year comparison, commentary on results.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations for debtors, creditors, fixed assets, loans, salary control accounts, VAT control accounts.
  • Calculation of the quarterly management charge between the two companies.
  • VAT returns submitted and VAT paid to HMRC
  • Producing Year accounts and schedules and Liaison with external accountants to provide information for corporation tax returns
  • Other analysis as requested to help management understand the performance and financial position of both companies.
  • Provision of necessary payroll data to outside payroll bureau on a monthly basis.
  • Renew and negotiate contract such as utilities and Insurance.
  • Overseeing all other normal accounting day to day accounting tasks that you expect of a company.
  • Staff management including one to ones, annual appraisals, sickness reporting.
Salary will be DOE and there will be an annual bonus as part of the remuneration. 25 days Holiday plus Statutory and contributory pension scheme. Working hours are Mon-Fri


Salary:
£55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

  • Wigan: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

Finance Management: 3 years (preferred)
