Work Away - Child Protection - Social Workers - £42-44 per hour
We're currently worker alongside a Greater Manchester authority to add additional capacity to their long-term service. The authority is now paying advanced rate for social workers who are from outside its usual catchment. Along with hybrid working and access to a local hotel, meaning only 2 nights away from home each week.


We have just been given the budget to add a further 5 social workers to the service to further reduce the caseload average.

The addition of the additional staff will reduce the caseloads to some of the lowest in the area ensuring social works have the time to provide a top quality service.


In return the council are offering market leading rates of pay, regular supervision and a choice of different working arrangements giving you the work-life balance you want.


If you're a social worker who enjoys managing your diary and work well when trusted to manage your caseload this role will be ideal, the local authority entrusts its social workers and engages in regular supervision to ensure you are supported and confident with the work undertaken with the aim of impacting families in the area in a positive, engaging way.


Social workers within the team are encouraged to work at home wherever possible and manage their diaries autonomously - meaning you are trusted to complete the work in a way that suits you.

What we are looking for in a Qualified Social Worker:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK license.
- post-qualified experience

  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work

£40.00-£44.00 per hour
