We have an exciting new vacancy based in South Normanton Recruit 2 You are currently working with our client - a specialist manufacturing company that work with water and gas and construction industries.

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Stock Controller to join their Derbyshire-based team.


This is a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
  • 6am to 6pm
.


The new Stock Controller will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of quality product from the manufacturing lines into the designated locations within the stockyard.

This includes but is not limited to, checking products for packaging discrepancies, stock rotation, making space for the storage of products all by operating multiple pieces of MHE suitable for each task.


Key Duties Include:


  • Work towards the businesses Health and Safety goals, ensuring Safety is the number one priority, reporting any near misses or hazards as soon as possible.
  • Responsible for ensuring daily checks are carried out on MHE equipment in accordance with site training and operating procedures.
  • Making space within the stockyard for products and ensuring all storage and loading is undertaken safely, efficiently and to best practice standards.
  • Ensure stock is receipted accurately, having an eye for detail is key.
  • Have computer knowledge, the ability to work across multiple screens to check, production plans, inventory, investigate discrepancies and other business functions within our ERP system.
  • Load/transport pallets of fittings, coils, and pipe lengths (up to 18m) and fittings into the stockyard/onto vehicles.
  • Movement of good product directly from manufacturing, carrying out initial quality checks and storage into the correct locations, highlighting any issues at the point of transfer.
  • Ensure product stored within the stock yard complies fully with health & safety & 5S principles/requirements
  • Supply manufacturing with coil storage frames and support with scrap products to relevant locations where appropriate.
  • Ensuring all stock movements are correctly and accurately transferred via handheld scanner/paperwork if required. (Movements to be recorded accurately on to the Syspro ERP system).

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent safety awareness is essential with willingness to receive training in legislation and auditing as required
  • Counterbalance Licence, and side loader or Combi trained.
  • Experience of working within a similar environment
  • A selfmotivated individual with the flexibility to adapt and a willingness to develop new skills
  • Good numerical ability, with good computer skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Experience of MRP / Stock Control Systems
  • Willingness and ability to cover other general duties

Desirable Knowledge Skills and Abilities:


  • Telehandler trained, experience.
  • Experience gained in a manufacturing process, warehouse, or production line environment
  • Computer literacy in word, excel and outlook
  • Experience of liaising with customers and suppliers
  • Full Driving License
