Housing Officer - Remote Working

PATCHES:

£29,000


DURATION:6 Months FTC


HOURS:
Mon to Fri


Purpose of role:


To deliver an excellent comprehensive, proactive, and pragmatic Housing Management and Surveying Service to customers, including leaseholders, shared owners and freeholders, starter and assured tenancy holders and private market renters in a fast-paced environment.

To deliver an excellent repairs service covering response and voids.

To be accessible to customers and colleagues in delivering the services and adaptable to react to challenging and changing situations.


Daily Duties:


  • Advise on social housing tenancy operational issues across a range of tenures
  • Enforce and support the landlord's strategy of a safety first and rent first culture
  • Manage all tenure types through support and enforcement with an emphasis on collaborative multiagency working
  • Manage leasehold enquiries effectively and efficiently by deciphering the individual leases and liaising with colleagues
  • Using a riskbased approach to programme and complete Neighbourhood Inspections
  • Carry out viewings and complete tenancy sign ups
  • Complete surveys identifying all communal repairs and raising of minor works using the social housing schedule of rates and identifying rechargeable works
  • Complete mutual exchanges
  • Dealing quickly and decisively with all forms of tenancy breaches
  • Proactively highlighting and investigating cases of tenancy fraud
  • Undertake a range of duties, such as, pursuing rent arrears, agree appropriate repayments with our customers, investigating allegations of Anti-Social Behaviour

Essential requirements:


  • Demonstrable experience as a Housing Officer
  • Dealt with lowmedium levels of ASB and rent arrears
  • Basic DBS within the last 12 months

Desirable requirements:


  • Knowledge of working with those with mixed mental health conditions
