Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a CAD Design Engineer for a Client in the Bridgend area.Competitive salary depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities
- Produce highquality, detailed engineering CAD drawings in 2D and 3D for manufacturing components, assembly of equipment, and customer layouts.
- Build up library of CAD models in both 2D and 3D to improve efficiency.
- Produce parts lists for manufacturing and assembly.
- Consult with customers to obtain technical information to complete projects.
- Regular liaison with engineering teams to communicate progress and any design issues.
- Ensure all drawings and parts lists are thoroughly checked before issuing, kept up to date and filed correctly.
- Identify ways to standardise components to reduce variety.
- Seek continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with all teams within the company including Production, R&D, Commercial, Procurement and Sales.
- Evaluate client specifications.
- Collate project details and order information to deliver accurate production packs.
- Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings of components, assemblies, and overall general arrangements.
- Produce, with the assistance from electrical engineers, schematic wiring diagrams.
- Populate parts lists for manufacturing and assemblies and products.
- Assist with the development and manufacture of prototypes in line with customer requirements.
- Experience with using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Mechanical.
- Experience with using Autodesk Inventor (desirable).
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering.
