Open Ended Contract - Permanent: Full Time - 35 Hours per Week

Do you like a challenge? Would you like to deliver IT solutions to contribute to a world-leading centre of academic excellence in the vibrant city of Edinburgh? We are looking for a Database & System administrator to join our talented and friendly team.

The Opportunity:

You will work with colleagues and stakeholders with a range of expertise, and your ability to communicate effectively and openly discuss solutions with people of varying technical understanding will be important.

Oracle, MS SQL or Maria DB for the database
Working in both Linux and Windows virtualised environments.
Kubernetes and Docker

We are looking for someone with good problem-solving skills, who is eager to learn new technical and non-technical skills in an open and encouraging team environment.

We'd love you to have...

Proven experience in automation technologies in a Linux environment
Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker environments
Experience integrating with SaaS and cloud solutions
Working knowledge of Database Administration in either Oracle, MariaDB or SQL Server
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
You will need to be able to work as part of a team: collaborating with colleagues, and escalating issues to get support when needed.
