Our website features the coolest cottages, cabins, treehouses, windmills, lighthouses and glamping, as well as villas and boutique hotels.

We work with hundreds of independent owners and agencies, as well as selected affiliate accommodation partners.


By their nature, the unique properties we promote work well on social media, and we already have grown a combined social audience of over 400k travellers and potential guests.


We're looking for a Social Media & Content Executive to join our passionate marketing team, and help propel Coolstays to the next level.

About you:


Your knowledge of all things social will support and engage our community members, and drive the growth of our social output.

You'll be working on maintaining the current output that directly promotes our properties to our audience, as well brand partnerships and fresh approaches that embrace the latest directions in social media and technology, ensuring we are part of social media conversations and trends.


The Role:


Working alongside the Social Media Manager, you will be assisting in the daily management of the Coolstays social media channels - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube - with the primary aim to grow our audience, improve content reach and engagement.

Community management
  • You will monitor our social media community across all platforms, responding to questions and comments with the same tone and approach, while ensuring the CoolStays brand reputation is protected through moderation of conversations.

Content creation

  • Using uploaded property photos and videos, as well as editing photo and video content from the team and external creators, you will be creating engaging posts and stories, ensuring everything is crafted in the same tone of voice for our brand. Drawing on your camera skills, and your experience as a content creator for brands, there will be opportunities to visit amazing properties and create content from scratch.

Content posting: You'll be assisting with scheduling and posting according to our social content calendar.


Skills and Experience:


  • A passion for staying on top of the latest trends and changes on these channels.

Minimum 1 year proven work experience in social community management.

Minimum 1 year proven work experience as a content creator for a brand with a significant following.

  • An expert understanding of how to grow and maintain a brand image.
  • Good camera skills both stills and video.
  • Experience of using photo and video editing tools (ideally Adobe Lightroom and Premier Pro).
  • The ability to work independently but also with great collaboration skills.
  • Experience working competently from home, but as part of a wider team.
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for engaging people.
  • Excellent attention to detail and administrational skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy, with a solid understanding of Google's office suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc).
  • Excellent people and communication skills, understanding what makes great customer service and how to handle customer conflict.
  • Excellent writing skills with an understanding of what makes engaging copy.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A qualification in Marketing or Digital Marketing.
  • 2 years in a social media role in the travel sector.
  • A good understanding of Google Analytics.
  • An understanding of how to navigate Meta Business Suite to understand data.
  • Experience as a photographer/ videographer, or assisting a photographer/videographer

Specifics:


Hours:
This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week) spread across the week. Given the nature of the role this will include some evening and weekend time for checking social channels.


Location:
This is a homeworking role with regular meetings in Brighton. You must be able to work competently from your home. You must also live a reasonably commutable distance (2 hours) from Brighton.


Equipment:
Laptop and mobile phone will be provided.


Pay:
£25,000 per annum full time
