Description

As a Security Officer at Bradford College you will be responsible for the safety and security of our students, staff, contractors, visitors and properties.

You will support the college in its vision to transform lives by maintaining a safe and welcoming learning and working environment for all, enabling everyone to focus on succeeding and achieving to the best of their abilities.


Security Officers are often the first port of call for those who need support or assistance and therefore play an important role in setting the high standards of respectful communication and positive behaviour we expect of all at Bradford college.


Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all students, staff, contractors and visitors is maintained at all times
  • Maintain the security of the premises, ensuring the environment is welcoming, safe and secure for all
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring everyone is treated with respect and dignity.
  • Adhere to all College Processes, Policies and Procedures
  • Remain in compliance with government regulations
  • Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to students, staff and visitors.
  • Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
  • Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures

Education & Training

  • GCSE 4 or nationally recognised qualification in English or equivalent (E.g. GCSE A*C, CSE 1, O-Level A-C)
  • GCSE 4 or nationally recognised qualification in Maths or equivalent (E.g. GCSE A*C, CSE 1, O-Level A-C)
Experience

  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of working in a large organisation across multiple sites
