Description

We are working with an NHS Trust in South London to recruit an Band 6 Estates Officer.

The purpose of this role will be to support the Estates Manager to ensure the Trusts Electrical/Mechanical Teams are complying with NHS safety Standards.

Other areas of responsibility:

PPM planning
Contracts and service delivery management
Authorised Person duties (medical gas PMGS, LV/HV, water, ventilation or pressurised systems)

An all-round knowledge of M&E plant, HV & LV systems, BMS systems, Air Conditioning (FCU/AHU), HVAC, Plumbing, Lighting, Small installation, Emergency lighting tests, Chillers, Water treatment etc.

Ensure that the permit to work is in place and adhered to so that contractors and colleagues work safely at all time
Running Management Meetings.
Oversee installation and upgrade projects.
Assisting with the preparation and collation of tender documents

Education:

BSc in Engineering, Building, Surveying, Architecture or Estate Management or National Diploma in appropriate discipline or equivalent engineering qualification.

Postgraduate Diploma in Management or equivalent level of experience

Trade qualification

Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge of engineering/building services in a maintenance led environment.

Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and legislation.

Well-tuned organisational skills gained through extensive understanding of core objectives of department; quality awareness.

Experience:

Extensive experience of Estate management in a multidisciplinary environment.

Experienced in problem solving within various engineering disciplines
