Head of Data Analytics to establish, lead and develop the Data Analytics team, setting strategy to identify key business insights for the corporate entity and the business units.

Driving ownership of actionable insights among stakeholders through collaboration, communication, and guidance.

Areas of Responsibility & Accountability:


  • Partners with the VP of Data to execute the strategy of the Data Analytics function.
  • Leads and develops a high performing team of central and BU analysts to drive the creation of measurable insights and visualisation of evidential data sets.
  • Ensures timely delivery of core reports and high degree of accuracy for regulatory and management purposes.
  • Analyses regular data feeds, manage databases and deliver associated daily, weekly and monthly reports and visualisations on performance across different business units.
  • Builds daily, weekly and monthly analyses and reports using analytical tools, and work on ways to streamline processes using advanced SQL and BI tools.
  • Liaises with inhouse technical teams to develop the customer database and integrate new insights or metrics into the central business data model and associated dashboards
  • Takes deep dives into the data, including behavioural data from web analytic platforms, to help the business units learn of specific patterns and trends
  • Performs customer segmentation, together with the data science team, to better understand the audience
  • Undertakes adhoc reporting and provide analytics back to the teams drawing conclusions from complex analysis
  • Has a focus on continuous improvement, creating effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Acts as a champion of data within the business, educating colleagues on the value of analytics and the value they add

Knowledge & Skills Required:


  • First degree in quantitative discipline, ie research, comp science, info tech
  • Database, SQL, BI and Visualisation Tools (such as PowerBI and Looker)
  • Leadership of Data Analytics team
  • Proven prior experience in a dataheavy role
  • Media, gaming, sports betting, retail finance industry experience preferred
  • Affiliate marketing experience a plus
