This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of our children's support service that offers care within County Durham.

We are looking for a child-centred person either with experience or with the enthusiasm for a new challenge to work within a team dedicated to changing the lives of young people.


Your main responsibility will be to provide emotional support for our young people between the ages of 8 and 16, you will also support with daily routines and the planned activities that the young person will participate in.

We offer a salary uplift to employees that can bring additional skills and knowledge that we can build in to our children's activity programme.

You will be working with our young people as part of a collaborative care team of either two or three staff for each child we care for.

Our one day on (including sleep in) two days off rota offers a great work life balance. You will also have the opportunity to gain sector specific qualifications or build on your current qualifications. As a rapidly expanding organisation we encourage an environment that promotes career progression from within.


Essential Skills


We expect all employees to have excellent observational and communication skills along with the ability to problem-solve and think creatively.

Emotional intelligence, resilience and the ability to react calmly in challenging situations are essential requirements. This includes a patient, caring, compassionate approach to care.

All employees will be highly responsible and accountable when it comes to safeguarding children and young people.

A full, valid UK driver's licence is required.

Salary:
£28,864.00-£31,224.00 per year
