I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading globalservice PLC based in Birmingham that has an excellent culture and team ethos.


My client is looking for a nearly or recently qualified financial accountant, ACA/ACCA to come into a key Financial Accounting role.

You will come into a hybrid working role where you will have the opportunity to work from home for a good part of the workingweek but still have constant support and development from management whenever required.


The purpose of the role is to provide timely, accurate and purposeful management information as required by the Executive Team, looking after the accounts for a recently acquired £50m turnover company into the group.

You will implement and adherence to theGroup Policies and Guidelines and accounting developments in UK GAAP and IFRS and any other aspects of Corporate Governance.


Key Responsibilities

Compliance and Control:


  • Annual report and accounts.
  • Interim and full year audit for both statutory accounts and HFM reporting.
  • Internal Controls Framework (ICFR) audit of controls and processes for Group Reporting.
  • Corporation tax computation and HFM reporting and annual computation and filing of tax return for all legal entities with the HMRC.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations with updated Tax Risk Register for Corporation Tax, Employment Tax, NMW and VAT.

Business Insight:


  • Assist with Monthly Management Reporting including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual HFM group reporting for actuals, forecast, bplan and budgets.


You will also build, develop and lead the Accounts Assistants so that they believe and demonstrate through their work that they can use best practice to improve compliance/control and business insight.
