About the role

An opportunity has arisen to join the Data & Regulatory Reporting team in the Balance Sheet Control department for an expert Data Management SME.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the review, mapping and quality assessment of Balance Sheet control data.

You need to consider the available data documentation, data quality and data sourcing whilst also reviewing the existing control framework.

Initially the focus of the role will be on treasury data and data used within capital management processes.

As a Data Management SME, you'll work collaboratively with teams across Balance Sheet Control, and the wider group, to drive improvements to, and document, the departments data and process landscape and existing control framework.

This role would ideally suit someone with a strong data provisioning knowledge and understanding of a risk control framework who is looking to build their awareness of how data is used within balance sheet control.

In this role you'll digest changes to the regulatory landscape and articulate what they mean for YBS, with a focus on the principles of BCBS239.

In addition, to highlighting where automation could occur in processes, you will develop an agreed direction of travel for an appropriate risk and control framework for capital and funding data.

Youll also support the development of data management policies. Alongside the day to day, youll work closely with the Data Management Lead to develop the overall data strategy.

About you

Youll need to be delivery focused, have expert technical knowledge of data management and control processes alongside experience in data management tools such as SAS.

Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail is a must.

Thisll be coupled with a good understanding of YBS, our products and regulatory framework.

In addition to this you will have knowledge and awareness of at least one of the following:
Mortgage Data, Savings Data, Market Data, Liquidity Data, Capital Data. Knowledge of data requirements in these areas for a Category 1 Firm would be an advantage.
