Field Communications Specialist - contract
Our client is looking for a contract Field Communications Specialist to support a new team.

Assignment

Plan and deliver the field communications needs for the charity event first aid teams for 202
Discover and catalogue the radio solutions we have deployed; ICOM and Kenwood to enable best value and geographic equity to support our events and ambulance operations work.
Assess the gaps in the deployed solution and recommend where investment is needed.
To provide technical leadership to the incumbent team of volunteers who support and manage the solution.
Build a knowledge base of the incumbent team working practises to ensure procedures are documented with single points of dependence reduced.
Contribute to a future strategy for fieldbased networking based on surfacing the requirements for the charity.
Join recruitment panels for sourcing permanent team members contributing to organisation design to shape the team.

Required Skills:

Project coordination
Team Leadership
Experience of deploying twoway radio solutions for field comms (ideally icom and kenwood)
Structured management of technology assets with reference to field comms equipment
VOIP
Field based LAN

This role could fit a technical logistics / project manager with forces or emergency services experience.
