New England Seafood is a major supplier of fresh and frozen premium sustainable fish and seafood in the UK and one of the largest importers of fresh tuna


Our customers are:

the UK's leading supermarkets including Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's and Waitrose; as well as smaller retail outlets; restaurant chains; food service markets and wholesale sectors nationwide.

We are currently recruiting for a Label/Packaging stores operatives to join the technical team in our Grimsby factory.


Responsible for:


  • The stock control of the label, sleeves and packaging within the internal stores.
  • The issuing of labels, sleeves & packaging
  • Date coding sleeves

Key Accountabilities:
Completion of the following tasks (This list is not exhaustive):

  • When requested by production produce the factory internal traceability labels
  • Complete the required factory QR documents
  • Issuing out and control the retail label rolls
  • When requested by production Print off the required date coded sleeves
  • Issuing the correct Quality Attribute Sheets
  • Ensure that the label room door remains closed (authorised staff only inside) and locked if unattended
  • Ordering stock
  • Ensuring all labels, Sleeves and packaging has the correct traceability attached
  • Ensure the room is tidy
  • Update check sheets & SOP's as required

  • Confident computer user.
  • Confident and approachable
  • Speed, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good Organizational skills
  • Previous experience of working in a label, packaging stores environment
