    Multiskilled Engineer Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Multiskilled Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our team at an impressive textile manufacturer in Bury. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with electrical knowledge to utilize their skills and experience in a challenging and rewarding role.

    About You

    • A minimum of 2 years solid experience as a Mechanical/Multiskilled Engineer in a manufacturing environment is required.
    • You should be apprentice-trained with an NVQ Level 3 qualification, and holding a HND would be highly desirable.
    • Experience in maintaining and installing machinery, including designing new equipment, is essential.
    • Familiarity with welding skills and operation of milling and lathe machines is ideal.
    • Having 18th edition wiring regulations and PLC skills would be a significant advantage.

    About the Job

    • This is a full-time position as a Multiskilled Engineer with a mechanical bias, working Monday to Friday, days only.
    • However, some flexibility may be required if a breakdown occurs outside of contracted hours.
    • Your key responsibilities will include reactive and planned maintenance of site machinery and equipment, as well as electrical and mechanical maintenance of the building.
    • You may need to collect parts/equipment from suppliers, therefore a driving license is necessary.
