We require an individual with the right qualifications, experience, personality and drive to support the growth of our nursery, learn and embrace our values and who may potentially take on a leadership role.
- To effectively deliver the new EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met.
- To act as a key worker to your designated group of children.
- To keep records of your key children's development and learning journals and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
- To capture evidence to create and share early learning journey's through the Tapestry system.
- To complete relevant forms concerning your key children's early learning journey within a set, reasonable time frame. This includes, but is not limited to, baseline assessments, twoyear checks, termly progress reports, summative assessment and transition documents.
- Support all members of staff and maintain strong professional relationships that enable children's needs to be met effectively.
- To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate daytoday caring and early learning needs.
- To ensure the provision of a highquality environment to meet the needs of individual children whilst having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.
- To assist in setting up the playrooms for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of sessions.
- To advise the manager/deputy of any concerns, e.g. over children, parents, the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
- To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, open days, parent's evenings, etc.
- To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed.
- To work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the setting's philosophy is fulfilled.
- To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting.
- To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the job.
- To consistently operate within nursery policies on Equality and Diversity, promoting equal opportunities for all staff and children in relation to gender, race, disability, and special educational needs.
- To be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times, both during work hours and outside.
- To support nursery assistants, students and volunteers.
- To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- To participate as an active member of the team, involved in planning and implementing a suitable range of activities for the children in their care.

- Relevant and recognised Level 3 qualification (childcare or early years), or willingness to train to this level
