Description
Our client, a commodities trading house is looking for a Market Risk Analyst to join their team in London.


Your responsibilities would include:

  • Contribute to the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly market risk reports
  • Carry out risk assessments and investigations into various opportunities and identify optimal solutions
  • Act as a liaison between the Risk Team and other internal departments

You will need to have the following experience:

  • Prior experience in a Risk/Trading or Pricing role
  • Understanding of the power and gas market
  • Good understanding of VaR and other market risk techniques (such as scenario analysis and back testing)
  • Python, Matlab and SQL knowledge is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
