    Business Engagement Adviser Role

    We are recruiting a Trainee Business Engagement Adviser/Business Engagement Adviser to work with businesses and employers. If you enjoy partnership working, have excellent communication skills, and can identify how businesses engage with education, this role may be for you.

    This position involves helping inform, inspire, and motivate young people about their career opportunities. Your skills will help change pupils' attitudes towards education, motivate them to study harder, influence their career plans, and bring areas of the curriculum to life.

    The successful candidate will establish and sustain positive relationships with employers to support employer engagement services. Excellent communication skills are essential for liaising with employers and colleagues. Speaking and working through the medium of Welsh is desirable.

    Candidates must possess a degree or equivalent standard, or demonstrable experience of liaising with employers. Trainees will complete the Level 6 Diploma in Business Engagement. Qualified candidates must hold the Level 6 Diploma in Business Engagement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Help inform, inspire, and motivate young people about their career opportunities.
    • Change the attitudes of pupils to education.
    • Motivate young people to study harder and achieve better grades.
    • Influence pupils' career plans and subject choices.
    • Bring areas of the curriculum to life.
    • Help young people make links between lessons and the world of work.
    • Raise awareness of the range of career opportunities available.
    • Introduce young people to inspiring role models.
    • Challenge career limiting beliefs around gender, race, and disability.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to speak and work through the medium of Welsh (desirable).
    • Education to degree level or equivalent standard.
    • Demonstrable experience of liaising with employers.
    • Level 6 Diploma in Business Engagement (for qualified candidates).

    Working Arrangements:

    Full-time, 37 hours a week, in South East Wales. Attractive benefits including agile working, flexi time, and a contributory pension scheme.
