My client is a cloud-based construction software provider who are used and loved by big names in construction. They place a huge emphasis on developing teams and individuals which results in organic business growth.

This role will be a great opportunity to build a career in technology working with some very experienced and successful professionals on a clearly defined development path.


About the role
The successful Junior Technical Consultant will be exposed to the two sides on the technical consulting coin.

You will have exposure to both the design and build phases of their software helping give a holistic overview of why and how the product works to help best inform their clients.

You will also be heavily involved with customer facing elements of this role, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, providing expertise and steering conversation so you can provide the best solutions and services possible.

This may sound daunting but as a Junior the team will be on hand to provide training and support along this journey with their clearly defined development path.


Key Responsibilities

  • Configuring and Implementing rules and files for customers using their inhouse logical ruleswriting computer language.
  • Be an expert in their inhouse ruleswriting language and helping to improve it by developing ever more sophisticated algorithms and techniques.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to their growing portfolio of products and services.
  • Maintain and correct rules and files in response to changing customer requirements.
  • Adhere to the company's development and quality standards and style conventions.

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally previous experience in coding or software development; preferably with an academic STEM qualification (but not essential)
  • A professional and consultative approach and attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A team player looking to take on more responsibility
  • The ability to use initiative, work autonomously and contribute ideas
