Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Freight Export / Import person. The company are a Freight Forwarder based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area.


Job description

  • Dealing with UK/overseas agents to manage bookings for road/air/express courier.
  • Proven experience in freight operations
  • Investigating and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, considering the nature of goods, cost, transit time and security.
  • Receiving and checking documentation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Contacting importers/exporters to establish their clearance/delivery requirements.
  • Liaising with all parties to ensure customs documentation is completed both foreign and domestic.
  • Providing customers with quotations and following up on enquiries.
  • Manage and negotiating freight rates, transportation and handling costs.
  • Providing assistance to the sales team by organising sales materials, tracking leads and updating the customers.
  • Making sure all requirements and deadlines for each shipment are met

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year


Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Colnbrook: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
