You will need to be

Level 2 qualified welder as a minimum to join the team.

This is a heavy industry setting so anyone form a manufacturing, construction or civils back ground would be ideal.

This is a stable business with long term contracts providing services to the rail industry.


Benefits of a Welder/

Fabricator

  • Working Monday to Friday Double Days 37.5 hour week.

Week 1: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday
  • Thursday & 6:00am 12:00pm Friday's
-
Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:30pm Monday
  • Thursday & 12:00pm 5:00pm Friday's
  • Salary of £30,750 (includes shift allowence)
  • 7% matching pension
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Paid overtime available 1.5x salary

Duties of a Welder/Fabricator

  • To ensure that our customer's locomotives are maintained to current legal, national, industry and company standards within the company's contractual responsibilities.
  • Welding & Fabrication of Mild Steel
  • Carry out modifications, maintenance, repair and overhaul activities.
  • Operate a variety of hand held tool and power tools as required in a safe and efficient manner in line with guidelines, policy and procedure.
  • Working to set deadlines & production targets
  • Contribute directly to the delivery of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Attributes Required to be a successful Welder/Fabricator

  • Level 2 or 3 Welding qualification or coaded welder
  • Mechanical apprenticeship & welding experiance.
  • English and Math's at GCSE, or equivalent, desirable.
  • Abrasive Wheels Qualification, desirable
