Are you in the first 2 years of studying Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy at university?

ESNEFT is keen to provide work experience whenever possible for students.

This year, we have a full-time opportunity from June-August 2023 to work with our acute therapy teams, aiding reablement of patients and assist therapy staff.

We will provide individuals with hands on opportunity, working with experienced staff in the therapy environment.

We hope this will develop enthusiasm for a career in therapy post-graduation.


Under the direction of a qualified Therapist, to have delegated responsibility for an agreed caseload of patients with non-complex needs.


Contribute to formal therapy assessments, under the guidance of a registered therapist and provide feedback on patients' functioning in delegated assessment and treatment sessions.

To obtain relevant information from patients' case notes and provide feedback to registered therapist as required.

Assist and inform the registered therapist in the planning, implementation, evaluation and modification of therapy and team interventions.


Under the guidance of a registered therapist provide a range of interventions / programme of interventions, instructing and guiding patients / carers to support them in achieving identified therapy goals, using specific skills and knowledge of health conditions and patients daily living tasks developed in the post and beyond, and relevant to the clinical area.

To use regular observational skills and role specific knowledge to monitor and report patients' progress to a qualified therapist.
