1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant


We work with a Primary School of which is based in Gloucester who are currently looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join them.

This role will begin as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year. The hours for this will be full time, working from 8.30 until 3.30. This opportunity will involve working 1:1 with a child in KS2 who has Special Educational Needs. You must ensure they are engaged with the lesson and kept safe throughout the day.

This school is small in size but a brilliant school, consistently rated as 'good' by Ofsted. The most noticeable thing about the school is how well behaved the children are. There is a very high standard of behavior, which makes it a lovely place to work. The school is needing someone who is confident to jump straight into the role without needing much guidance. Therefore, previous experience of working with children is beneficial, and experience with SEN is essential.

  • Working with pupils either in a 1:1 or group capacity
  • Build effective, trusting relationships with children
  • Be flexible, adaptable and able to act proactively to unpredictable situations
  • Be reflective and fully committed to continued professional development
  • Foster excellent working relationships with staff, parents and other professionals
