Due to an internal job change we are seeking for a new programme administrator to join a small team who are responsible for both front-of-house student services and backstage planning, administration and organisation.

You will need to be proficient at general admin including excel data entry, strong interpersonal skills and clear written and verbal communication skills.

A keenness to music and or understanding of it would be desirable. This is a full-time role based at the Music Box, SE1 and is student facing.

We are looking for a front-facing member for the Programme Administration team at LCCM.

Ideally, the person in this position will have experience working in education, facilitating the administration and delivery of course enrolments and timetabling, who would be happy helping students and facilitating the smooth running of classes, assessments, college meetings and academic events.


Requirements:


Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and dissemination of the teaching and assessment timetable and lesson rooming, along with ad hoc space booking;
  • Operation of student enrolment and induction processes and events
  • Maintenance of and reporting from student enrolment, attendance and assessment systems, ensuring student records are maintained in a timely and accurate fashion according to College and partner policy and procedure, in line with the GDPR.
  • Registration of students with awarding bodies, and subsequent updating of records;
  • Operation of student attendance recording and monitoring, ensuring that registers are maintained in class and on the central system with associated reporting, all conducted in a complete, accurate and timely manner;
  • Receipt, processing and recording of assessment marks, together with related administration and reporting, including support and servicing of assessment gigs, assessment boards and academic appeals procedure;
  • Undertaking confirmations of attendance, subsequent change of circumstances and general liaison with students, GUS shared services and SLC with regards to student finance matters;
  • Servicing, supporting and secretarial duties for College committees, including organising and running elections for student representation;
  • Organisation and data entry for internal student feedback surveys
  • Production of student documentation on both planned and ad hoc bases, including academic transcripts, council tax certification etc;
  • Supporting and informing current students and staff on all matters surrounding and related to the above, including student fees and finance matters and general support for ad hoc enquiries;
  • To provide pastoral and academic support to the student body and support the welfare process established in the College for the students.
  • Booking and organising extracurricula activities including masterclasses, gigs and guest speakers and maintaining the Event Calendar for such matters

Qualifications:

Essential

  • A levels or comparable level 3 qualification
Desirable

  • First Degree, HND or equivalent in music or a creative arts discipline

Knowledge & Skills
Essential

  • IT skills including proficiency with databases and spreadsheets
  • Effective communication in writing and in person
  • Ability to balance and prioritise own workload

Experience
Essential

  • Working experience of at least three main duties listed in the 'Key Activities & Responsibilities' section.
Desirable

  • Experience working in the music industry and/or music education
