The QEQM Emergency Department is an impressive place to work. We see approximately 250 members of our local community needing our help each day.

We are a progressive and dynamic department of approximately 150 staff including the nursing, medical, admin, AHP and support staff.

The department is run by an incredibly motivated and supportive senior leadership team. We continually strive for the highest standards of care for the members of our local community.

  • You will be part of a positive, enthusiastic team
  • You will assist with the education of new starters with up to date knowledge and skills.
  • You will provide regular meetings with members of the nursing team.
  • You will work closely with those members of the team who require extra support.
  • You will be aware of the NMC code of conduct relevant to your role.
  • You will be able to assist the team, working clinically on the emergency floor when needed.


The role of clinical skills facilitator is paramount to improving patient care and improving the working life of fellow colleagues.


To balance your time working with the new nursing team and the existing team to upskill them via facilitating, role modelling and coaching, to increase the quality & safety of care for patients and aid in retention of staff.

To be able to give feedback honestly and constructively.
