• To provide a confidential therapeutic service to students and maintain appropriate secure records
• To work individually with students and also provide group work when deemed appropriate
• To work closely with the school's Pastoral and Safeguarding staff to support children and young people, including attending regular Pastoral Core Group meetings
• To think systemically and work with staff as well as parents to help create a therapeutic environment for the child
• To work within the Wellbeing centre as a fully integrated member of the community

• Counselling or psychotherapy qualification to Post Graduate Diploma or Masters' level
• Specific level 5 or above qualification in working with children and adolescents
• UKCP registration, BACP or PTUK accreditation or demonstrably working towards this
• Good understanding of attachment and child development as well as the specific developmental and other issues faced by year olds
• A good understanding of the challenges faced by young people in a day and boarding school environment and within the education system in general
• At least 4 years post qualification experience in counselling/psychotherapy or play therapy
• Experience of working within a school environment
