We are recruiting for a Buyer for our growing and innovative client in Alton.

Join this leading distribution company and benefit from 28-35k salary, private medical cover and a 2:30pm finish on a Friday

As the Buyer you will enjoy:

20 days Holiday + Bank Holidays
37 1⁄2 hour week Mon-Thur), 14:30 finish on Fridays
2835k dependent on experience
Bonuses based on company performance

As the Buyer your responsibilities will include:

Being responsible for the purchasing of materials and services including production parts, and consumables items
Negotiating prices and lead times and maintaining relationships with current and new suppliers
Ensuring cost control and effective buying of terms of price, service and quality
Providing internal support to sales team regarding purchasing matters
Sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers

To succeed as the Buyer you will have:

Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Analytical mind
Effective supply chain/purchasing skill sets
Proven experience in a buying, procurement, or product management
Strong communication skills
Ability to learn quickly have a proactive and flexible approach to get things done
