We are recruiting a Finance Officer to join a successful family run organisation based In the Birmingham City Area. This is a permanent, full
- time role.


As part of the role, you'll report Into the Head of Finance and will be responsible for providing coaching, mentoring and leadership to a team of junior Finance Assistants.

To be considered for the Finance Officer Role you will:

  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have completed an AAT or in the process of doing so.
  • Experience of training/leading/coaching a team is desirable
  • Experienced with a range of MS packages including Excel

An overview of the Finance Officer Role Includes:

  • Coaching, mentoring and leading a team of junior Finance Assistants
  • Approving supplier payments and Finance Assistant bank transfers
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts
  • Daily reconciliations of control accounts
  • Posting of invoices and preparation of BACS files
  • Liaising with suppliers and operational staff regarding payments
  • Posting of daily receipts
  • Resolution of any outstanding bank reconciliation items
  • Updating procedures and supporting with processes and system implementations
  • Adhoc duties
