Shipping Co Ordinator/ Administrator


We are seeking a highly organized Shipping Co Coordinator/ Administrator to oversee our company's shipping operations principally in the UK,USA & Asia according to INCOTERMS.

You will be getting quotes, processing shipment orders, monitoring the packaging and labelling of completed orders and evaluating the performance of carriers.

The shipping coordinator is also responsible for negotiating courier fees on behalf of clients and tracking shipments.

To ensure success, you should exhibit extensive knowledge of logistics and demonstrable experience in a similar role. A first-class shipping Co-coordinator will be someone whose shipping expertise translates into smooth and cost-effective shipping services.


Responsibilities:


  • Obtaining quotes for Sierra CP's shipping requirements.
  • Maintaining good relationships with Sierra CP's current freight forwarders, packing company and adding suitable carriers where appropriate.
  • Negotiating the price of packaging, shipment transportation with carriers.
  • Keeping shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or efficiency.
  • Support the stores department in identifying packaging requirements for UK deliveries.
  • Processing all shipment documentation and inspecting completed orders (in terms of packaging and labelling).
  • Creating and implementing shipping policies and procedures.
  • Acting as a liaison between management, packaging company carriers, and customers.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment.
  • Communicate with clients and shippers and resolve any complaints.
  • Prepare dispatch reports for senior management.
  • Keep a meticulous record of shipment information.
  • Documenting processes and reporting to management as required.
  • Evaluating carrier performance and resolving issues with orders and logistics.
  • Complying to shipping industry regulations and company policies (INCOTERMS)

Requirements:


  • Three five years' experience in the shipping industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of logistics and shipping documentation.
  • Budgeting and reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of shipping industry regulations.
  • Analytical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Good organizational, attention to detail and timemanagement skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Ability to multitask.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
