Property Services Supervisor - St. Austell, United Kingdom - Ocean Housing

Under the overall management and guidance of the Property Services Manager you will have day to day responsibility for delivery and coordination of a high quality, efficient value for money customer focused service ensuring projects achieve the required quality and targets
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing effective and efficient line management of operational staff who undertake servicing, repairs and renewals
- Ensuring all works being undertaken meet the standards of Ocean Housing Property Services in relation to delivery timescale and quality
- Be the first point of contact where problems or issues arise and take responsibility to resolve them with operational staff
- To carry out inspections to determine work requirements and works are raised and progressed in line with policies, procedures, specifications and time targets
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification in a relevant building trade to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and ILM/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in first line management
- Supervisory experience, in residential refurbishment project work, such as; kitchens, bathrooms, reroofing, decorating, windows & doors
- Have the experience and ability to produce detailed schedules of work
- Evidence of Project supervision
- Budgetary control experience
- You will also have experience of working in the building industry
- Knowledge and understanding across multiple trade disciplines
- Experience in providing excellent customer service and developing relationships
- You will exude a positive and welcoming persona and have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
- Takes responsibility for actions, projects and people and achieving work objectives for team as a whole; tackling demanding goals with enthusiasm
- Ensure Team members value equality, diversity and inclusion and takes appropriate action when there is evidence of discrimination or inequality
